A friend of mine recently ( okay, today ) told me about her principal. A Mrs blank from blank secondary school. I was thoroughly shocked when I heard about what she said. Blank school secondary 2 students can now only opt for Geography as too little people opted for History.
My friend and her friends had wanted to take History so they went to see the HOD. They were then referred to the Principal. When asked about the subject combination, she raised her voice at them and said, " WHY! YOU ASKED ME WHY?" Okay... She shocked the hell outta everybody. She then went on to say that RI students can study, cope better because of their family background. She then said that her students are unable to compete with them because THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE POTENTIAL. She proceeded to call her students dumb and sardonically said that that's why they came to blank secondary school. She ended off her tirade by saying that EVERYTHING WE DO IS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.
WTH? Have you ever heard of something this ridiculous? She's the principal of the school! Isn't she suppose to raise the standard, understand her students, believe in them and encourage them? Don't have the potential? Maybe it's because she never gave them a chance! RI students cope better because of their family background? Did she really assume that only students from under-privileged and turbulent families go to neighbourhood schools? What rubbish!
Honestly, sometimes I'm really glad that I have Mr Ng for a principal and not this blank from blank secondary school!
