Submitted my subject combinations. My overall marks was 'satisfactory'. I felt queasy when I saw them... Expected though...I can't say that I've put in effort this year. Ha! To think that I actually resolved to try this year. I promise that I'll study next year. I'll listen to the BBC news and read the newspapers THOROUGHLY. I'll put up a timetable and develop a habit of writing down notes in class and revising them after school EVERY DAY. I'm serious. Rather pissed about English...Dominic and I are tied for highest in the level. #!&^$@* Please give me the award!!!! I need it! Dominic probably got highest in the level already. He does not need a highest in English! Give me the award!!!!!
Oh well...here's the 3 choices of mine for next year's subject combination.
1st Choice
- English
- Emath
- Amath
- Triple Science
- SS/Geo
- Chinese ( I did not choose this!!!!!)
Pros and cons
Pros: Looks better in my resume for DSA-JC
Will advance to 3E1
Cons: A lot of things to memorise. Hard to score in the first few months.
Do you know that this year's 3E1 had 5 ppl who passed physics and 15 ppl who failed biology? Yes. It's that's hard. Fortunately they claim that the 'O's are easier than the prelims....XD
2nd Choice
- English
- AMath
- EMath
- Pure Physics and Chemistry ( basically double science )
- Pure Literature
- SS/Geo
- Chinese ( Let me repeat...I DID NOT CHOOSE THIS!)
Pros:
I'm doing all the subjects that I love!
Less things to memorise!
Cons:
It is not the first class.
3rd Choice
I see no need to mention it. I'll probably get into my second choice anyway.
So you see...between one and two, I'll still prefer two. One might look better in my DSA-JC but it means that I'll have to memorise lots of stuff and perhaps not score so well in my 'O's. On the other hand, two is an easier subject combination so there's less stress for me! XD I really enjoy the subjects in two :) I know that I'll get a good grade for my 'O's if I do something that I love. :) However, I put one as my first choice as my need to remain in the best class overwrote ( Is there such a word? It just popped out of my mind ) my joy in doing Literature essays. It all boils down to fate in the end. If I'm fated to go to the first class then I will. Same goes to Lit.
Red Cross carnival on Sunday XD
